The challenge I set myself with every window is to capture the essence of my subject without compromise to technical difficulties. I try to create depth and subtlety in the representation of natural subjects in stained glass. Sometimes I combine glass with other materials, such as carved wood and cast bronze.

In May 1997, I went to Allentown PA to give a talk about plating techniques (i.e. using more than one layer of glass to achieve special effects in a window). This is the account of the meeting.
